RB Leipzig have so far held back on the winter transfer market. Now, apparently, a first decision has been made. RB youth player Felix Kühn will leave the club. Dutch media report unanimously. On the other side, the Leipzigers are still interested in signing Benfica-Talent Úmaro Embaló. Now the indications regarding a transfer are intensifying.
Kühn moves to the Netherlands
Felix Kühn was a player in the U19 youth team of RB Leipzig. The Dutch newspaper “Telegraaf” reports that the attacker will now leave Germany and move to Dutch first division club Ajax Amsterdam. In addition to the Eredivisie Club, the great FC Barcelona had shown interest in signing up the 18-year-old Leipziger Talent. However, the Dutch apparently won the bid.
Leipzig chases Embaló
Almost at the same time as Kühn’s departure, Leipzig seems to be looking for a new addition. The Bundesliga team from eastern Germany are showing strong interest in Úmaro Embaló (16). RB Sports Director Ralf Rangnick and Sport Coordinator Jochen Schneider set off for Lisbon last Tuesday. In the Portugues capital, they spoke to Benfica boss Luis Felipe Vierira, who would like to keep Embaló, about a possible transfer. This is reported by “BILD”.
In terms of playing style, the 16-year-old Portuguese man fits perfectly into the Leipzig system. Embaló is fast, young and dynamic. Exactly, the kind of player the Leipzigers want. For the signing, they are apparently willing to pay €13m to Benfica.
In addition to RB, however, two international top clubs have also put out feelers to the Portuguese youth player: FC Barcelona and Manchester United. At the moment, however, Embaló’s tendency is to join Leipzig. The reason for this is probably the greater chance of regular playing times.
