The rumors about a transfer of superstar Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang continue. Now it seems that once again a club is interested in the Gabonese. Will the striker from Borussia Dortmund leave in winter and join the English Premier League?

Update 14.01.2018

Daily Telegraph Football News Correspondent Matt Law heard that Aubameyang expects to leave BVB in the next 24 hours.

Arsenal interested in Aubameyang

As the journalist Guillem Ballague announced on his Twitter account on Sunday evening, FC Arsenal want to sign the Gabonese in this transfer period. The Londoners are looking for a suitable alternative due to an upcoming transfer of top offensive player Alexis Sanchez.

According to Ballague, who reports for “Sky Sports” and the Spanish newspaper “AS”, the Gunners are said to be prepared to put €60m on the table for Aubameyang.

Aubameyang rumors – nothing new

The fact that the Gabonese has been flirting with a transfer for a long time is no secret. From transfer period to transfer period, different rumors arise in the media. In the recent past, two Chinese clubs were said to have tried to transfer “Auba”.

Father of Aubameyang expresses himself

Now, however, the current message receives additional explosiveness. The reason for this is a statement by Pierre Aubameyang:

“A shitty journalist who treats my son like a monkey. I have the feeling that he wants to go back in time with Hitler. I just think the little monkey and his family need to get out of here,” the father of the BVB attacker wrote on Instagram [Der Westen].

The term “little monkey” in his already deleted Instagram post referred to a statement by “kicker” chief reporter Karlheinz Wild. Wild had commented on Aubameyang’s repeatedly misbehavior: “I can’t imagine that Auba could bring up this Affenzirkus in Munich.” Wild apologized afterward. “Affenzirkus (monkey circus)” is a German idiom/saying.

Suspension of Aubameyang one of the reasons for the transfer?

One possible reason for the transfer could be the recent actions of the BVB bosses against the French-born player. Due to his absence at a team meeting after the final training session, the 28-year-old has meanwhile been suspended by the club for the third time. Aubameyang was therefore not in the Borussen squad in Sunday’s opening game against VfL Wolfsburg.

Sports director Michael Zorc said in an interview with Sky Sport:
